Kastehelmi small plate 17 cm from Iittala was designed by Oiva Toikka as early as 1964 but was re-launched in 2010. Kastehelmi, which in Finnish means "dew drop" has been named after the beautiful glass beads that characterise the collection. The idea for the dew drops was born when Oiva Toikka wanted to hide the joints that arose during production. Today, Kastehelmi is one of Iittala's most popular collections!
