The Panton dish from Georg Jensen was originally created by hand in sterling silver in 1988. The dish is designed by the iconic artist Verner Panton, one of Denmark's most influential designer during the 20th century. The dish is sometimes called the car crash due to its wrinkled shape but stories also say that the look of the dish comes from when Verner Panton sketched it on a paper and threw it away in the bin. After a while, the paper slowly unwrapped itself, and thereof the dish has the wrinkled structure.
